Ace Hardware gifts 10 therapeutic bikes to Driscoll Rehab Patients
Ten Driscoll Rehabilitation patients received special therapeutic bicycles, made possible by a $15,000 grant from Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) partner, Ace Hardware.
The vehicles, known as Amtrykes, are adapted to children with a wide variety of disabilities so they have the opportunity to experience the mobility and independence children enjoy when they ride a bike.
Each child was assessed by a physical therapist, measurements were taken, and adaptations needed to maximize independence were determined. Thank you, Ace Hardware, for helping us get kids back to being kids!
